Geographical location

Dominating to the east the medieval city of Saint‐Émilion, just 500m away, the vineyard of Vieux Sarpe sitting on a beautiful limestone plateau is situated between Trottevieille, the 1st Grand Cru Classé and Haut Sarpe, which is itself Grand Cru Classé.

 

Soil type

Clay‐limestone on a marine limestone base with asters, which outcrops in places at the top of the hillside.
